These weekly Scouting programs are designed to provide a comprehensive and engaging experience for young Scouts, focusing on four main areas of development:
- Skill Development/Badges: Scouts work on developing a variety of skills and earn badges to mark their achievements. This includes hands-on activities and learning experiences that are both educational and fun.
- Islamic & Social Education: We provide an enriching curriculum that incorporates Islamic teachings and social values, helping Scouts grow into responsible and compassionate individuals.
- Physical & Team Building Activities: Through physical exercises and team-building activities, Scouts improve their fitness levels and learn the importance of teamwork and cooperation.
- Group Meetings: Regular group meetings offer a platform for Scouts to discuss their progress, plan upcoming activities, and foster a sense of community and camaraderie.
In the outdoors, Scouts have opportunities to acquire skills that make them more self-reliant. Attributes of good character become part of the Scout as he/she learns to cooperate to meet outdoor challenges. Camping and outdoor activities put meaning into the Scouting method.
Goals of Camping and Outdoor Activities:
Al-Mustapha Scouts offers multiple camps to its Scouts during different seasons throughout the year, in a safe and supportive environment. Some of the Outdoor Activities:

Group Sessions
Scouts are divided into small groups depending on school grade, age, development, and interests, and are supervised by an adult Scout leader. This method allows Scouts to interact in a small group outside the larger troop or pack context, working together as a team and sharing the responsibility of making their group a success. A group takes pride in its identity, and the members strive to make their group the best it can be.
Group meetings offer an opportunity to plan and prepare for group activities, outings, community service, etc.
Outings
Group excursions and field trips provide some of the most exciting parts of Scouting. Scouts enjoy many outdoor experiences as they participate in the variety of activities that can be held outside of the weekly Scouting program, such as field trips, nature and conservation experiences, and outdoor games.
